Neat Frame Visitor Kiosk

Capture visitor sign-ins using your Neat Frame device.

Updated this week

Overview

Create a welcoming experience for your visitors by using your Neat Frame as a sign-in kiosk.

Most Envoy settings are configured in your dashboard. When you connect a Neat Frame with a specific location, it automatically loads all of your preferred account configurations.

Once the Neat Pad is connected to your location, you can start signing in visitors. Visitors who sign in on the Neat Pad kiosk create entries for that location (i.e., they will appear on the location’s dashboard and in visitor logs).

Prerequisites

Your Neat subscription must allow for the creation of custom apps. For more information, please reach out to Neat.

Standard Set up

Step 1: Static QR Code

The Neat Frame uses Envoy's Static QR code link to display a web-based kiosk experience.

To enable:

  1. Navigate to Visitors > Settings > Welcome Screen and click on the Touchless walk-ins tab.

  2. Locate Static QR codes, and toggle it to On.

  3. This will generate a unique link to create the web app for your Neat kiosk. Copy this link. You'll need to add "/shared' to the end of this url to use with your shared kiosk.

Step 2: Neat frame app creation

Now that you have the unique web link, it can be used to create an app within your Neat Pulse admin center.

  1. In a separate tab, navigate to pulse.neat.no and login to your Neat admin center.

  2. Navigate to the Apps page, and scroll down to the Other app category, and click Add app.

  3. Now, you'll be able to create an App based on the Static QR code link. Paste your copied link into the Web app URL field.

  4. To the end of your link, and "/shared"

  5. Your App name can be anything, but it's recommended that you include the Envoy location the kiosk connects to. If you have multiple QR codes, include the Nickname as well.

  6. Click Add to complete the creation of your app.

Step 3: Adding the App to your Neat Frame

The app has been created, and it's ready to be added to your Neat Frame.

  1. Within your Neat Pulse, navigate to Devices and locate the Neat Frame you want to pair. Click on the device to open the details menu.

  2. Scroll down to Device settings, then expand the Apps menu. Locate your custom App, then toggle it to On.

  3. Once the app loads on your device, you're ready to start signing in visitors!

Connecting a Printer (Optional)

To print badges without an iPad connection, you must use Envoy Print.

Once you've installed Envoy print and connected your printer, you can assign the printer within your Welcome Screen > Touchless walk-ins settings.

  1. Under the Static QR code section locate the QR code / Link you want to connect a printer to and click on the pencil icon on the right.

  2. The detail page for your code will pop up. Click on the Select a printer dropdown caret and choose the printer you want to connect.

  3. Select Save. Your printer will now print out badges for any visitor who signs in using the associated Neat Frame.

Customizing your Kiosk

Kiosk customization is controlled under Visitors > Settings > Welcome Screen in the Design tab.

Options for your Kiosk:

  • Design: Use your previously uploaded logo, a different graphic, or use a solid color.

  • Multiple languages: Allow your visitors to sign-in with different languages! Learn more.

  • Returning Visitors: Envoy can "recognize" past visitors by their name.
