Naming your iPad

We highly recommend giving each iPad a distinct name. You can do this before or after the iPad is paired to your location. Here’s why: once your iPad is paired, it will appear on your Visitors > Devices page. It’ll be easier to troubleshoot any issues later if the iPad has a distinct name. To name your iPad please make sure your Envoy Visitors app is on v4.5.1 and above and follow the below:

  1. Navigate to Settings on your iPad and scroll down to the Envoy Visitors Kiosk app.

  2. Click on the app to access its settings and on the right, you will see Envoy Status.

  3. Under that section, find the Device Name field.

  4. Please enter your desired name and that name will reflect on the dashboard.

  2. Click "Remove iPad".

  3. Click "Remove" again when the modal appears.

Using an iPad stand

We strongly recommend using an iPad stand to prop up your iPad, making it easier for visitors to sign in.

We sell several options in the Envoy store.

  • The MiStand is adjustable which helps with photo-taking.

  • The @Rest is affordable, transportable, and easy to assemble

  • The WindFall is the most secure, as it can be bolted or locked to your front desk.

Visitor Kiosk FAQ

  • If the Visitor Kiosk is autofilling emails when visitors sign-in, be sure to disable the 'Learn from this app' feature in your iPad settings. Navigate to Settings > Contacts > Siri & Search > Turn off 'Learn from this app'.

  • If you're receiving an error related to an Invalid phone number/wrong area code during sign-in it is recommended to adjust the region setting on your iPad.

To change the Region, on the iPad, go to Settings > General > Language & Region > Region. Then select the appropriate country.
