Apple device settings for Rooms
To offer the best user experience, we recommend keeping the Envoy Rooms app running continuously, displaying real-time activity from your meeting rooms. For optimal performance, please enable these device settings:
1. Auto-Locking
By default, the energy settings on your iPad are configured to lock the screen after a short period of idleness. To prevent your iPad from sleeping, you can modify the Auto-lock setting.
Navigate to your iPad Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock.
Set Auto-Lock to "Never".
This will keep your screen awake, but still respect your screen dimming settings.
2. Automatic software updates
To prevent devices from going to sleep unexpectedly, we suggest disabling automatic system updates.
Navigate to "General" and
Select "Software updates."
Toggle the automatic updates option to the "off" position.
3. Guided Access mode
App or iPad crashes may occur, but enabling the Guides Access mode can assist by automatically restarting the Envoy Rooms app. Furthermore, this mode can prevent individuals from altering the displayed app.
