Overview
Approvals can be required for many different reasons, including Block list matches, ID scan rejections, and Visual Compliance triggers.
The Global Approvals Queue allows global admins to view all pending approvals across all locations. This is great for organizations with specialized review teams, such as Trade Compliance, Security, or Legal, that operate across multiple facilities. Instead of navigating site by site, these teams can now monitor, approve, or deny visitor requests from a single place.
Using Global Approvals
The global approvals queue is split into Entries and Invites.
Entries
When a visitor sign-in attempt is made on the Kiosk, QR Code entry, or dashboard, they will appear in the Entries queue.
You can customize the view by clicking on the Columns dropdown and selecting the entry details you want to see.
Since entries are real-time, all pending entries will be shown by default.
Clicking on the entry will open a new tab, taking you to the attempt within the location.
From here, you can view the full entry and see match details (if applicable).
You can approve the invite via the global entries queue or directly in the entry.
For multiple failures: If approving via the queue, all failure reasons are approved at once. To approve one at a time, you must navigate to the entry.
Invites
All pending invites will be shown in Invites queue. By default, invites due today are shown.
You can use the date dropdown to view invites for a predefined length of time, or use the calendar selection to define a custom range.
You cannot view past unapproved invites in the global view.
✨Tip: For multiple approval types, you can hover over the approval type to see the list of reasons for failure.✨
Applicable security features
The approvals queue combines multiple different screening types, within Envoy and offered through our integration partners, including:
Each security feature has different configurations. It's always a good idea to run tests of your security features before going live with any changes.
