What type of Anonymization is suitable?
There are two types of Visitor Data Anonymization available - a fixed period or a rolling period.
Fixed Period
For a fixed period of time a Global Admin user may submit a single, one-time request to Envoy Support to anonymize data for the specified dates. Please note that recurring or repeated requests are not supported.
Rolling Period
For a continuous, rolling period of data anonymization, a Global Admin user can contact Envoy Support with the amount of time that they would like to have anonymised, expressed in 'days'. As an example, if you started today with a 30-day rolling period, any entries today would be visible for the next 30 days. After this, the data would be removed from the visitor logs.
Both Fixed and Rolling periods can be enabled on a per-location basis. You can enable them at one, some or all of your locations and each location can have their own time frame if needed. Data from both the Visitor Log and the Invite Log will be anonymized.
Analytics Data
With Data Anonymization, the personal identifying information is removed from the Visitor Logs and Invite Logs, and they will show as empty. However, your Visitor Analytics will still show you how many visitors you had.
You'll know how many visitors you had, but not who they were.
