Before you can assign the Maps on Screens app, you must first add a device to Envoy Screens.

Modifying Your Screen's Settings

Be sure to click Publish when you're finished making changes.

  • Name your screen

    • This name is only visible to Envoy admins, so it's a good idea to establish a naming convention if you have multiple displays at one location.

  • Write a description

    • Describe the screen so other admins know more about it.

  • Change the default floor

    • Select which floor the screen is located on.

  • Set the starting position

    • Place the physical location of the kiosk on your map.

    • This will provide a blue "you are here" location indicator.

  • Choose an inactivity period

    • Set the amount of time without activity before the screen resets to the default floor & position (30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, Never).

  • Change the map mode to "View Only"

    • Disable touchscreen interactions like searching and tapping on employees.

    • Recommended for devices without touch support.

  • Pick a theme color

    • Override the map's accent color.

  • Show/hide the location's logo

  • Show/hide employee information

    • Allow names, photos, in-office statuses, etc. to be shown on the map.

  • Change the language

    • English, French, Spanish or Romanian

Using the Map on the screen

Searching the workplace

Search by clicking the Tap to search button and using the on-screen keyboard.

Selecting a category (ex. Rooms) will filter the results by that category.

Viewing an employee

Maps on Screens follows the same rules as the live map on the Envoy web dashboard and Envoy Mobile.

Employees will show on the workplace map if they have a desk permanently assigned or if they have a desk reservation for the current day. Taping on the employee will display more details, such as onsite status and neighborhood.

Booking a room [SOON]

Tapping on a room will bring up more details, as well as the room's scheduled meetings. To schedule a new meeting, tap Book Room (if available), or scroll to select the time slot desired.

Updating Maps on Screens

During the beta period, Maps on Screens will auto-update every night at 11:59 PM. If you'd like to update manually, refresh the webpage (on your device) or click Refresh Screen on the Screens page within the web dashboard.
