Apple device settings for Rooms
To provide the best user experience, we recommend keeping the Envoy Rooms app running continuously and displaying real-time activity from your meeting rooms. For optimal performance, please enable these device settings:
1. Auto-Locking
By default, your iPad's energy settings lock the screen after a short period of inactivity. To prevent your iPad from sleeping, you can modify the Auto-Lock setting.
Navigate to your iPad Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock.
Set Auto-Lock to "Never".
This will keep your screen awake while still respecting your screen dimming settings.
2. Automatic software updates
To prevent devices from going to sleep unexpectedly, we suggest disabling automatic system updates.
Navigate to "General" and
Select "Software updates."
Toggle the automatic updates option to the "off" position.
3. Guided Access mode
App or iPad crashes may occur, but enabling Guided Access mode can assist by automatically restarting the Envoy Rooms app. This mode can also prevent individuals from changing the displayed app.
