There's more than one way employees can be checked in automatically when they arrive on-site. Depending on how your workplace is set up, Envoy can mark employees as present when they badge in at a secure door, connect to the corporate Wi-Fi, or sign in through your SSO provider, all configured by your admin, with nothing for the employee to do. Employees can also enable location-based automatic sign-in themselves in the Envoy mobile app.

The templates below help you announce the location-based option to your team, since employees enable it on their own. If your workplace uses badge, Wi-Fi, or SSO-based check-in, you may want to add a line letting employees know they're already being checked in automatically, no action needed.

Would you rather not have to sign in on the Envoy app when you arrive at work? Or do you usually forget to sign in? Now on the Envoy app you have the option to sign in automatically when you arrive at work. That way you can start your day seamlessly.

(Optional — include only if your workplace also uses badge, Wi-Fi, or SSO-based check-in: Depending on how our workplace is set up, you may already be checked in automatically when you badge in, connect to our Wi-Fi, or log in through SSO. If so, there's nothing you need to do — but you can also turn on location-based check-in below.)

This optional functionality uses geolocation technology. The app will sign you in automatically on the days you are scheduled on-site once you arrive near your workplace location.

To turn on automatic sign-ins:

Try it out! The next time you arrive at work, you should be signed in automatically. If you don't want to sign in automatically, you can disable this feature and continue to sign in manually.
