HRIS integration for Analytics [Beta]

Learn how to sync your HRIS with Envoy for more enriched attendance data.

Overview

Envoy's Employee attendance report gives admins and managers a clear view of which employees are coming into the workplace and adhering to the (optional) onsite policy. By integrating with your HRIS, you can make these reports even smarter and more reflective of real-world employee behavior. Your HRIS will send Envoy employee time off data, adding context to missed check-ins and providing more accurate occupancy data.

Important: After the initial connection, all available time off data will sync to Envoy, retroactively populating the Attendance by Employee report and making past reports more accurate.

Prerequesites

  • Admin access to your HRIS

  • Your HRIS API Key. You need to go through the specific HRIS platform your company uses. The location of the key can vary depending on the provider, so it's best to refer to that system's documentation for guidance.

HRIS + Envoy Setup

Step 1: HRIS

  1. Login to your Envoy dashboard, then navigate to Integrations. Search for HRIS, then click Install.

  2. Using the dropdown, select your HRIS provider. Click Next Step to save and proceed.

Step 2: API

  1. Obtain your API key, as defined in the prerequisites. Paste this key into step 2.

  2. Click Next Step.

Step 3: Configurations

Once your HRIS can connect to Envoy, it's time to map Envoy's time off types to your HRIS time off types. Envoy only uses two options. Time off and Work from Home.

  1. Use the left-hand Envoy dropdown to select the category to define. Match this value to the corresponding HRIS time off category. Repeat until the desired categories have been defined.

  2. Click Complete setup to save and finish.
