Overview
With Envoy's Virtual front desk, you can assist visitors by making live video calls from your kiosk. You can set hours of operations to refine the hours that calls can be made - allowing for different schedules every day or turning the weekends off.
What visitors see
When someone tries to make a call from the kiosk during off hours, they'll see the following screen:
Set up Hours of operation
Your Visitors/VFD kiosk must be on v4.33.0 or higher to use this feature.
Navigate to Virtual front desk > Settings > Call operations.
You should see the hours of kiosk operations shown in a chart. By default, calls to your assigned virtual receptionist are available 24/7.
To change this, click Edit next to hours of operation.
The days of the week are listed with toggles and hours beside each one.
Change the hours by using the time dropdowns.
Toggle a day to Off if you do not want any calls made on that day.
After making changes to the schedule, be sure to Save!
Copy hours
If you want the same schedule for multiple days of the week, you can use the copy tool instead of manually assigning each day.
After clicking Edit to change hours of operations, locate the day you wish to copy.
Click the copy symbol.
Check the boxes next to the other days you want to copy the selected day's schedule to.
Use the Apply to all button to apply hours to all days of the week (including weekends).
Click Apply to assign the same hours to the selected days.
Make sure to click Save after you finish making changes.
Reset to default hours
Default operating hours are Monday - Sunday, 12:00am - 12:00am. To erase any changes you made and reset to these hours, click Reset to default.
FAQ
Do calls made during off-hours show on the call log?
Attempted calls made during a location's off hours will not be shown on the Call log.
