Greenhouse

Learn about how Greenhouse integrates with Envoy.

Overview

Greenhouse is an applicant tracking system and recruiting platform. The Envoy + Greenhouse integration creates Envoy invites automatically when interviews are scheduled in Greenhouse.

You choose which interviews should create invites and match each one to an Envoy visitor type.

Before you begin

  • You must be a Greenhouse admin to create the API credentials.

  • You need Greenhouse Harvest v3 OAuth credentials: a Client ID, a Client Secret, and a User ID.

Create your Harvest API credentials in Greenhouse

  1. In Greenhouse, click the Configure icon, then select Dev Center.

  2. Click API Credential Management.

  3. Click Create new API credentials.

  4. Set API type to Harvest v3 (OAuth).

  5. Enter a description, then create the credentials.

  6. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret, and store them securely. The client secret only appears once.

  7. Assign read access to the following Harvest resources, then click Save:

    • Applications

    • Candidates

    • Jobs

    • Job Interviews

    • Interviews / Scheduled Interviews

    • Offices

    • Users

Connect Greenhouse to Envoy

  1. Navigate to Integrations in the Envoy dashboard.

  2. Search for Greenhouse and click Install.

  3. Click Authorize to give the integration these permissions: write invites, read employees, and read invites.

Step 1: Access

  1. Enter your Greenhouse Client ID and Client Secret.

  2. Enter the User ID of the Greenhouse user that integration actions are attributed to.

  3. Click Next Step.

Step 2: Office (Optional)

Select a Greenhouse office to create invites only for interviews at that office. Skip this step to create invites for all offices.

Step 3: Jobs

Select the jobs you want to create invites for. The jobs you choose determine which interview types you can map in the next step.

Step 4: Invite Options

  1. Select the interviews that should create invites, and match each one to an Envoy visitor type. You can add multiple matches.

  2. (Optional) Choose whether to add hosts to your Envoy invites.

  3. Click Save Configuration.

Once you schedule one of the selected interviews in Greenhouse, Envoy automatically creates an invite.
