Overview
Envoy Visitors Assessments allows you to collect detailed information and verify knowledge from your visitors, all within the Envoy sign-in flow. For an added layer of consistency, you can create assessments at the global level, and apply these to global sign-in flows. You can also apply a global assessment to location-level flows, making it easy to provide the same training across sites.
Set up
Setting up a global assessment follows the same format as setting up a location assessment.
Assessments are made up of Sections with their own description and content. Within each section, you can have questions about that specific content. Assessments can have as many sections as you need. Once your assessment is created, you can assign it to location and global sign-in flows.
Step 1: Creating an Assessment
Navigate to Global Overview> Visitors > Assessments and click Create a new assessment or New assessment.
A blank assessment will be opened. First, give it a name by clicking the βοΈ pencil icon. Visitors will see the title of your assessment, so it's best to use a concise title.
Assessments are organized into Sections, which have their own description and video (optional). The video must be publicly accessible via a link.
After adding your section's description and content, you can start adding Questions.
Add new answer options by clicking + Add option. Maximum 20 options.
Re-order the answers by using the handle to the right of the answer bank.
Delete an answer by clicking on the ποΈ trash can.
Denote the one correct answer by clicking the selection circle.
Change to multiple correct answers by toggling Multi-select and selecting the boxes.
You can add more questions to your section by clicking + Add question.
After adding the sections, content, and videos you need, make sure to click Save.
To edit or delete an existing assessment, click on the ellipses (..) then select the appropriate action.
Step 2: Assessment settings
Change how often visitors need to take this assessment by clicking on Settings in the upper left-hand corner.
By default, all visitors must get all questions correct (100%) before proceeding to the remainder of the sign-in flow. This setting is not currently customizable.
Changes to this assessment require all visitors to retake it: This setting ensures that any updates made to a quiz (such as revised questions, answers, or instructions) trigger a new completion requirement for all visitors.
Response validity period: Define how often returning visitors must re-take the assessment. This is defined in terms of days.
Re-take assessment for every visit: Require visitors to complete the assessment every time they visit.
Sign-in flows: Select which global or location sign-in flows you want to add this assessment to. You can also do this by navigating to each sign-in flow, which is shown in the next step!
Step 3: Assigning an assessment to a flow
The final part of assessment creation is assigning an assessment to a sign-in flow. Global assessments can be added to global sign-in flows and location-level sign-in flows. Location-level sign-in flows can only be added to location-level flows.
Adding to a Global Flow
Navigate to Global Overview > Visitors > Sign-in flows, then select the global sign-in flow to which you want to add the assessment.
Navigate to the Assessments tab, then click Add assessment.
Select the assessment(s) you want to add, then click Add.
Your global sign-in flow will show the new assessment! This setting will be updated across locations.
To remove an assessment from a sign-in flow, just click the ποΈ trash can. This will not permanently delete the assessment.
Adding to a Location flow
Navigate to your desired location, then navigate to Visitors > Settings > Sign-in flow. Click Edit next to the sign-in flow you want to add the assessment to.
Navigate to the Assessments tab. Click Add assessment.
Select the global assessment you want to add. Like global sign-in flows, global assessments are marked with a purple G.
Click Add, and the flow will update automatically.
