iPad status alerts

iPad status alerts notify your team when your device is offline. Learn about these notifications and how to customize them.

How iPad status notifications work

  • When a Visitors kiosk has been offline for 20 minutes, an email is sent to the notification contacts, letting them know which iPad needs attention.

  • You can select any administrator or employee in your company to receive these notifications. You can also turn these notifications off entirely.

  • iPad status notifications are enabled on a location basis.

Benefits of iPad status notifications

  • Know that an iPad is offline or that the sign-in flow is obscured before a guest notices.

  • Alert the people on your team who can resolve the issue quickly and effectively rather than whoever happens to be nearby.

  • Notifications are automatic, so your team can act immediately to keep visitors moving through your lobby.

  4. You can add as many contacts as you want! It's a good idea to keep in mind admin permissions when adding alert contacts. Remember - only global and location admins can add/remove iPads.
