Overview
The Threat Dashboard shows security teams the threats active around your workplace locations. By connecting your HRIS to Envoy, you extend that same visibility to where your people actually live, so you can see at a glance whether a threat will impact employee homes.
This is especially useful for protecting remote workers, who may be far from any workplace when a threat appears near them.
Home addresses are synced from your HR software through Envoy's HRIS integration. Once enabled, employee homes appear as a layer on the Threat Dashboard map and are included in the impacted counts for each active threat.

With HRIS home addresses enabled, security teams can:
See employee homes on the Threat Dashboard map alongside office locations.
Understand whether an active threat impacts homes, and how many, through the impacted counts on each threat.
Protect remote workers who are not tied to a physical workplace location.
Control exactly which admins are able to view home data.
PREREQUISITES
Home addresses are only available when the following are in place:
HRIS directory sync must be enabled. Home address data is sourced from your HRIS, so the sync must be connected before any homes can appear on the map.
Your HRIS plan must support home address data. Some HRIS plans do not expose home addresses through their integration. If your current plan does not include this data, it may not be available to sync into Envoy. Check with your HRIS provider if you are unsure.
Enable HRIS home addresses
Once your HRIS directory sync is connected, an admin can enable home data and choose who is allowed to see it.
Navigate to Global overview > Response > Settings.
Click Edit next to Organization-wide notifications settings.
Turn on the Display HRIS home addresses on the threat dashboard toggle.
(Optional) Under Limit access to specific admins, add the admins who should be able to view home addresses. Type each admin's name and select them from the drop-down. This person must be a global admin.
When one or more admins are added here, home addresses are visible only to the selected admins on the Threat Dashboard. All other admins will not see home data.
If you leave this field empty, home addresses follow your standard Threat Dashboard access.
Save your changes.
How home addresses appear on the map
Once HRIS data is enabled for the map, employee homes are treated as another type of location on the Threat Dashboard.
All employee homes appear on the map. Each home is plotted alongside your office locations, and homes are included in the impacted counts for every active threat. Learn more about recipient counts.
Homes are reflected in impacted counts. When you open a threat, the impacted breakdown separates people who are on-site, traveling, and at home, so you can quickly see whether a threat reaches employee residences.
Exact addresses are never visible, apart from VIPs. Homes are shown on the map to indicate impact, but the precise street address is hidden for standard employees. Exact addresses are only visible for employees designated as VIPs.
Homes can be toggled on or off as a map layer. Use the map layers control to show or hide the home addresses layer at any time, so you can focus on offices, homes, or both.
