ISN (ISNetworld)

Learn more about integrating with ISN to screen contractors that enter your workplace.

Overview

With the Envoy + ISN (ISNetworld) integration, Envoy screens visiting contractors at sign-in against their live ISNetworld QuickCheck status. When a contractor signs in, they provide their ISN Employee ID, and Envoy checks that employee's overall QuickCheck status against the QuickCheck Profile you configure (along with Site and Project options where the Profile requires them). Any contractor who does not pass is routed to review so your team can decide whether to let them in.

The integration is read-only: Envoy checks QuickCheck status but never writes any data back to ISNetworld.

PREREQUISITES

  • An active ISNetworld account with a QuickCheck Profile configured.

  • An ISN UserKey and CompanyKey, provided by your ISN Account Representative.

  • The visitor flows you want to screen must be configured. During setup, the integration adds an ISN Employee ID sign-in field to the flows you select.

How the QuickCheck screening works

Contractors self-report their ISN Employee ID on a custom sign-in field that the integration adds to the flows you choose. This ID number can be found on a user's ISN ID, available in the ISN Empower app.

You can rename this field to match the language your contractors expect (for example, "ISN ID" or "ISNetworld Employee ID").

When a contractor signs in or pre-registers, Envoy looks up that employee's overall QuickCheck status in ISNetworld and evaluates it against the Profile you selected during setup. Depending on what the Profile requires, the check can also take a Site and up to four Project types into account:

  • Operator Qualification

  • Online Training

  • Training Qualification

  • Worker Acknowledgement

If the contractor's QuickCheck status passes, sign-in continues as normal. If it does not pass, the visit is routed to review.

šŸ’” Tip: Customize the pending approval screen to let visitors know the next steps. šŸ’”

What happens when a contractor does not pass

When a contractor's QuickCheck status does not pass, Envoy notifies the admins you designate to receive alerts, and the visit is held for review.

The visitor record is not approved and shows an ISN screening note.

After reviewing, admins can Approve or Deny the visit. The history log records which admin approved or denied the visit, and when.

Configuration

Before you begin, get your ISN UserKey and CompanyKey from your ISN Account Representative. You will enter both during setup.

Step 1: Authorization

  1. In the Envoy dashboard, go to Integrations, search for ISN (ISNetworld), and click Install.

  2. Click Authorize to confirm permissions.

  3. Enter your ISN UserKey and CompanyKey.

  4. Click Next Step to validate the credentials.

Step 2: QuickCheck Profile

The QuickCheck Profile is what you screen against, and lives in ISNetworld, not Envoy. In ISN, a QuickCheck Profile defines what "passing" means: the set of requirements a contractor's employee has to satisfy to be considered compliant. You (or your ISN Account Representative) create and maintain these in your ISNetworld account.

  1. Select the ISN QuickCheck Profile you want to screen contractors against. Profiles are loaded from your ISNetworld account.

  2. Click Next Step to continue.

Step 3: QuickCheck Configuration

  1. Select the QuickCheck Site and QuickCheck Project options required by the Profile you chose. The options shown depend on what the selected Profile requires, and can include:

    1. Operator Qualification

    2. Online Training

    3. Training Qualification

    4. Worker Acknowledgment

  2. Choose which visitor flows should collect the ISN Employee ID field. The integration adds this field to the flows you select.

  3. (Optional) Rename the ISN Employee ID field to match the language your contractors expect.

  4. Click Complete Setup.
