Content Layouts

Learn how to display content side-by-side within your Playlist by using Layouts.

Updated this week

Overview

If you want to display multiple pieces of content at once, you can use Layouts to build side-by-side displays within your Playlists! This is great for larger screens with more room to showcase content. You can combine multiple types of content onto layouts: Images, Videos, Embeds, and Envoy-native Apps. If desired, you can even add a playlist to a layout to cycle through while other content remains static.

Layout options

You can select from any of the preset layouts to populate with content.

Adding content to a layout

  1. Navigate to Screens > Playlists and select an existing playlist, or click + Create playlist.

  2. In the content pop-up, navigate to the Layouts tab.

  3. Select the layout you want to use, then click Add layout. This will add the layout builder to your playlist.

  4. Click on the + plus sign to add content to the frame. Select your content from your library or add new content.

  5. (Optional) Change the fitting of your content.

    1. Fill to frame: The content will proportionally stretch to fill the full height and width of the frame.

    2. Fit to frame: The content will shrink proportionally to fit within the frame, leaving empty space around it.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each piece of content you add to your layout until all frames are filled.

  7. Once you're finished, Sync your playlist or assign it to a screen.
